Dental Implants

Get your teeth back.

Leading cosmetic dental practice in Lawnton - North Brisbane

Are you tired of not being able to chew properly due to missing teeth?

Say goodbye to ill-fitting and uncomfortable dentures and enjoy the feeling of having your teeth back! A dental implant is a surgical component that connects with the bone of the jaw to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown or bridge. Implants are designed to look, feel, and function like your natural teeth. Because of their advantages over traditional tooth replacement options like dentures, dental implants provide excellent long-term value and can be a terrific investment in long-term oral health.

Implants allows you to restore your bite, eat comfortably, prevent bone loss, maintain the shape of your face, enable natural speech and maintain the alignment of your natural teeth. With regular check-ups, care and maintenance, implants last for many years, with predictable outcomes.

Am I able to have an implant?

The effectiveness of the implant will depend on a number of factors such as your gum health, bone level, the quality of your dental hygiene and how much pressure you apply to your teeth while eating. The titanium pin is surgically implanted in the jaw bone and serves as an anchor for the crown. Over the next few months, this post painlessly fuses with the natural bone matter in your jaw, helping to create a long-lasting and reliable foundation for your new tooth.

Multiple visits are required during the replacement phase, as the body needs time to heal and complete the ‘fusing’ process before the crown is attached. It is important to book in a consultation with one of our dentists to assess if you are an eligible candidate for implants.

Dental implants may be a good option if:

  • You have one or more missing teeth

  • You have a bridge that needs to be replaced

  • Your dentures are slipping, clicking or keeping you from eating what you want

  • You are experiencing bite problems or pain because of a missing tooth

Benefits of Implants:

  • Improved appearance, speech, chewing ability and oral health

  • Provides the confidence to smile, eat, and engage in social activities

  • Preserves the remaining healthy bone after extraction.

  • Prevents the adjacent and opposing teeth from moving

  • Can restore one, multiple or whole arches

  • Assist in retention of a removable prosthesis

You only get one smile. Make it last a lifetime with dental implants.
